The Change Over
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
As promised another shot of the wild Griffon Vultures that I took whilst I was in Crete.
I call this one the Change Over, as the birds that were brooding the nest had literally just done that. I was also quite lucky in the fact that there are a few pigeons in the shot, which I think gives the shot a sense of scale and highlights just how big these birds really are!.....Luckily for the pigeons, the vultures only feed on carrion and are not predatory, good job really otherwise I think they'd be the next meal....LOL
If you'd like some more details of the birds, please read the comment section on yesterday's upload. Many thanks for the kind and contructive comments made on that incidently, hope you enjoy this shot as much...Regards...Ade |

Hi Adrian
Nice shot of this Griffon Vultures in their natural environment. Details and colours are good and as you said pigeons are as a bonus for your shot.

They're certainly a bit of a big bird!
Interesting to see the size of the pigeons against the size of the vultures. As before the red rocks give an impressive back drop
