[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This species seems to be endemic in Zagori region of Epiros. It grows in or at the edges of oak forests, on high altitudes, while it flowers quite early, mainly during the first fortnight of May. It is very close to Ophrys hebes, with which hybridises, but also seems to be affected by Ophrys zeusii, from which can be discriminated by the complete side pilosity of the lip.Usually, the lip is clearly trilobed and the median lobe is transversally curved.
