Hello,
i found this GREAT plant 1-1,3 M on the Mainland by Arta
An impressive plant,with a height which often exceeda i metre.The spathe is lanceolate,purple on the inside and yellowish-green on the outside.
The spadixis slender,long and purple,but shorter than the spathe.The leaves are large,deeply cut and wavy with white spots.The stem is very characteristic,bearing a pattern which resembles that of a zebra-skin.During the flowering period,the plant emits a strong,rank odour which attracts flies.This is not a flesh-eating plant,as many people believe

Hello Laurens,
I'd love to see this plant in flower, its shape and colours are so incredible!! I think I've seen the leaves in Turkey once. A very fine capture showing flower and leaves very sharply and well composed too.

This reminds me of a holiday in Crete in 2008 where I saw many of these spectacular (and smelly!) flowers. You have captured it well, showing the wonderful velvety spathe.
