Ophrys zeusii
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This species seems to flower somewhat earlier than typical Ophrys epirotica, to have bigger and frequently trilobed lips of flowers, tall stems and infloresence with more flowers. Also, it's lip has almost always a wide yellow border, brownish coloration and macula design which is surrounded by a thick white line, while it's petals are long, with undulate edges. It blossoms on May and prefers edges of oak forest. It's distribution is wide, at least in central and western Macedonia and Epiros.
