I have not met any damselfly this season. You are more lucky photographer. You managed to catch a cute specimen in nice surroundings. I like nicely blurred BG, patter created by stems, grass and leaves. Well done and TFS.

Hello Lou,
Though a little soft this is a fine close capture of a female P. pennipes, the details showing well against the OOF natural Bg in a good almost full-frame composition.

A lovely macro capture of this cute damselfly with superb details! I like the great contrast between the colors of the damselfly and the green leaf. The blurry BG is great. The sharpness and POV are perfect. The DOF is kept very well too.

Hallo Lou.

Een mooie foto van het vrouwtje blauwe scheenbeen. Ik vind deze altijd lastig om te fotograferen omdat het witte vaak te fel wordt, zeker als de zon schijnt. Het is je goed gelukt om, qua belichting, dit te voorkomen.
Kwestie van persoonlijke smaak, iets meer ruimte aan de voor- en achterkant zou de foto goed doen denk ik.

Hello Lou,
These tiny creatures really have big legs, and this is a female! They have also a special color, which looks almost golden on the thorax. I suppose that the male has a more vivid color. Very cute little damselfly.

I think there's too much space above the damselfly but that can easily be fixed.
