[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Phasmatodea, sometimes called Phasmida are an order of insects, whose members are variously known as stick insects in Europe and Australasia, walking sticks or stick-bugs in the United States, phasmids, ghost insects and leaf insects generally the family Phylliidae.
The ordinal name is derived from the Greek "phasma" meaning a apparition or phantom and refers to the resemblance of many species to sticks or leaves.
Their natural camouflage can make them extremely difficult to spot and shot.

I do not know the type, it resembles with **Carausius morosus **?

more info:**wikipedia**

the scene was photographed in the island Ithaca,in the countryside, observed it my small nephew Iasonas, that has passion with the insects!
the lens that I had in my disposal was not the better choice,I select this little artistic pose (with this BG),is first time where I photograph such subject.

thank you for your visit in my collection!

have a nice day and good photographs!

Good evening Nasos!
Nice to have you as a neighbour!
A fine capture of this Stick Insect, Carausius morosus, a brown variety. I think you are right with the ID.
You did well to spot this and to take it on the tip of a grass stem against a nice neutral BG that helps to show it up.
Thanks and all the best,
Ivan

Bonsoir Nasos

Merci de nous le montrer avec élégance

Delicada y oportuna toma con un fondo muy apropiado. Quizá te faltó algo de luz ya qyue el enfoque es algo justo.
