Easily it does not appear, but it is heard, this season you hear all day it, through the canes,
if you are not acquaintance you can tangle his voice (rattle) with voice of frog.

Great Reed Warbler/Acrocephalus arundinaceus in Greek tsihlopotamida(warbler of river),
regular summer visitor and passage migrant.

from wikipedia:

This is a large thrush-sized warbler, 16-20cm in length. The adult has an unstreaked brown upperparts
and dull buffish-white chin and underparts. The forehead is flattened,
and the bill is strong and pointed.
It looks very much like a giant Eurasian Reed Warbler (A. scirpaceus), but with a stronger supercilium.
The sexes are identical, as with most warblers, but young birds are richer buff below.
The song is very loud and far-carrying.
Its main phrase is a chattering and creaking carr-carr-cree-cree-cree-jet-jet,
to which the whistles and vocal mimicry typical of marsh-warblers are added.

This scene was photographed in the reeds thicket that have remained, around from the lake,
as the forest from trees shrank, thus and the reeds thicket,
from thousands acres have remained certain clumps,
think that it is natural shelter for a lot of types of life...

Thank you for your visit in my collection
and for your useful criticisms,
have a nice day and good photographs.

Hi Nasos.
Amazing picture at every aspect. Most of all I welcome great framing of the scene and wonderful presentation of the impressive surroundings. Timing is spot on. You managed to freeze this charming small bird at so nice moment. Sunlight, colours are natural, fine and create a special wonderful mood. Bravo.
Alexei.

Hello Nasos,
I am familiar with the song of the Great Reed Warbler and have photographed it not far fronm home, though it is rare in Sweden.
This is a fine capture in the reeds, the open mouth showing its bright orange as he sings.
Nice sharpness, lighting and composition.
Thanks and best wishes,
Ivan

Hello Nasos.

Congratulation for that photography from the Great Reed Warbler. I appreciate particularly the point of view and also, the composition from the photography. Only one small regret: the flower in the upper part of the picture is too close from the border of the frame.

Anyway, excellent photography.

Thank you for the sharing.

Philippe.
