That's a beautiful scenery. Without reading your notes, I'd assume it to be the afternoon sun. Lovely colors and very good timing.
I agree with Paul about the horizon line- a small detail that can always be corrected.

Good sunset scenery with romantic mood!
You are capturing well the trace of flight of crowd of birds. And, the light that reflects to lake draws out goof effects in the whole, I think.
