A different subject but a masterpiece job! Great telephoto macro capture in all around. Yess me and Maurizio using our telephoto lenses foe macro photography and i have to say that this method generaly works well like this special one.

Hallo Nasos
I have not seen one of these beautiful damselflies on the gallery for such a long time and it is a intense pleasure looking at your posting of today. The metallic colours captured here is really gorgeous and the combination of emerald, blue and a touch of yellow in between is great to look at. The detail of the eye, the lovely texture of the wings and the spikes on the paws is captured with great clarity. The texture and detail of the leave it is resting on is also delightful to look at. I like the shimmer seen on a few places. Thanks for sharing, and best regards.

You are excellent with birds, and you are also excellent with insects I see ! This is a wonderful shot ! I love the colors, very natural, but still lovely and vivid - a real pleasure for the eye. fantastic capture for very pretty Demoiselle.
I used 100-400 Canon zoom lens for macro, now 100 mm canon macro lens; but sometimes I also use 600 mm supertele such as my last post. you dont need additional equipment. this is great indeed.
sharp focus, POV/DOF, especially coloration superb. nicely composed and framed. efkharisto

Hello Nasos,
I missed this fine capture of this ssp male C. virgo. The technical standard is high and the composition against the neutral natural green BG is superb!
I see you use the same telephoto combination that I use and it is very good for dragonflies: you get great results without scaring them away!

Beautiful view - I have decided to try to do some shots of insect with a long tele lens in response to seeing images like this, rather than trying to use a macro lens with its very shallow DOF.
