This is a great capture and how well you have composed the shot with the outstretched cormorant making a diagonal across the frame.
The details of the waterdroplets being shaken off, by the cormorant are excellent.

Though great Cormorants are common and often seen on TN, you have captured this one in a fine stretched-out pose to be part of an ideal diagonal composition. Nice POV and sharpness too.

Excellent photo, with a perfect timing (we can see the little drops!) and diagonal composition. The debate about the Great Cormorant exists in Belgium too. There are several thousands of them, fishing in the rivers. The fishermen heat them, of course, but it is still a protected species in Belgium. There are some proposal to control the population... The problem is to find concrete data about the link between increase of Cormorant population and regression of fish species... Who is the responsible? Cormorants or humans (with pollution of rivers for example). No easy answer and no easy solution! Se xairetw,

A wonderful close-up of this Cormorant. You have captured him in a marvelous position with his neck stretched. Fine colors and details of his face, eye and feathers. A wonderful setting and composition. Your notes are most interesting. I didn't know he was causing such problems.

I like the composition of the photo, in diagonal which gives life and movement to the photography.

The sharpness is excellent. The colors are realistic and they are attractive. I like a lot the attitude from the bird which seems to be surprised by the photographer.

Dear Naxos,
The high speed of your shot has really paid dividends: the bird must have come out of the water a moment ago (I see the airbubble on the surface), and it is still drenched. Probably, it had just shaken it self - like a wet dog - because I see all these tiny waterdrops surrounding the body.

I am sure, the details in your photo are a treasure trove for a watcher of bird behaviour; they are for a lover of good photography!

Overall, Your photographic technic is excellent.
