photo of past January,
one day after rain where the cleanliness of atmosphere was improbable,natural result these colours.

The Dalmatian Pelican/Pelecanus crispus

as in my previous comments **photo 1** **photo 2** (can read also information)I report again that they live henceforth all per year in the lake,therefore their observation is feasible in the all annual phase.

Afterwards from well-aimed observation and correction of my friend Ivan Kruys member of TN that I respect his knowledge and his information and in order to I restore the correctness of my notes,I report that it existed a flock from 30 birds,with at least 20 young individuals,unfortunately the good photo is this with a three adult and young bird!

Without I know the reason,they were gathered flock above the Kerkini village (next to the lake),and after flew all together,for roughly 5 minutes,dissolved the assemblage and flew to the lake,the adult pelicans they are moved in flocks,but for concrete reasons,
from so much far the recognition is difficult and my knowledge,no advancedthe,this particular "pointless round course" it makes me believe,that it can they are young individuals,perhaps births of previous summertime,with adult,as other gregarious birds (cormorants) as long as they are still young individuals,they are moved in big teams,perhaps playing,in any case their locomotion was not for reasons of food, immigratory or reproductive.

I would need wide-angle telelens in order to I put them all in the frame...

The light is so good that it enhances the beauty of the birds- the shapes and the colour.

Hello Nasos,
A very appealing shot of four Dalmatian Pelicans in flight. The composition, lighting and sharpness against a fine winter blue sky are excellent in showing these four adults and one juvenile.

Dear Nasos,
the high speed of your shot creates a photo resembling a sculpture. Very pleasing effect!
Did you use a tripod? From my own experience it is difficult to point the lens skywards to a bright sky and still showing the details of the birds.
Good work!
The birds filling the whole frame tells the story..

Wonderful patterns you have here against a clear sky created by the birds in flight and what amazes me that all these pelicans have almost the same position of the wings and they seem to synchronize and i have noticed this in many bird flocks :-) many be they do this to optimize air currents while flying together
