Ophrys sicula Tineo, 1846
(O. lutea group)

Ophrys sicula belongs to a group with 4 members resembling each other. The length of its lip is smaller than O.lutea but same as that of O.phryganae. It differs from this last species as it has more sparce lip hairs and an horizontal lip while O.phryganae has more convex lip. O.melena is very distinct with the absence of yellow lip margin.
Flowering time: January-May

Η Ophrys sicula ανήκει σε ομάδα με 4 μέλη που ομοιάζουν μεταξύ τους. Το μήκος του χείλους της είναι μικρότερο της O.lutea αλλά ίσο με αυτό της O.phryganae. Διαφέρει από την τελευταία καθώς έχει αραιότερα τριχίδια στο χείλος και πιο οριζόντιο χείλος, ενώ η O.phryganae έχει χείλος με κάμψη προς τα κάτω. Τέλος, η O.melena ξεχωρίζει λόγω της απουσίας του κίτρινου περιθωρίου στο χείλος.
Εποχή άνθησης: Ιανουάριος-Μάιος.

L’Ophrys de Sicile est une orchidée de l’ère méditerranéenne. Il s’agit d’une plante assez grèle, de taille petite à moyenne (tige de 10 à 30 cm).
Floraison : janvier-mai.

Mais en Grèce... je ne connais pas leurs spécimens

this is a nice shot. I know from experience how common these are in greece, and how difficult to shoot.

This picture has everything from soothing colors to sharpness on the flowers to a pleasing composition. Maybe a bit more DOF would have been nice since you only used f3.2
