Anatololacerta oertzeni (Werner, 1904)
Family : Lacertidae
Syn.: Lacerta oertzeni
Common Name : Oertzen’s Rock Lizard

This rock lizard is quite common on Ikaria island. I noticed that the babies have a blue tail. You can imagine its size comparing with the pine needles. They run very fast, but they are so curious as the adults.

Hi Catherine. I wonder where this one get its name !!. I think it could be called Blue long tail. I like this cut looking one which you have taken with fine detail in the body markings. All with natural colours. i see what you mean about the pine needles. well done TFS.
Nick..

Laurent
