Staehelina arborea Schreb.
Synonym: Staehelina petiolata (L.) Hilliard & B. L. Burtt
Family: Compositae

I walked on a cliff of Ikaria the first day I came on the island. I was attracted by the red assassin bug hidden on a small shrub. But in fact, the bug is more common than this shrub. Looking today for the ID, I found in the Staehelina genus 5 species: S. dubia, S. unifloscula, S. fruticosa, S. baetica and S. arborea.
But only S. arborea has silvery-felted stems and whitish flower-heads. According some references it is an endemic shrub of Crete. But maybe this species can be found on other Aegean islands.
It is of course a first for TN too.

The bug is well known on TN. It is the Rhinocoris iracundus (Family Reduviidae).
