tks Ivan and Nigel for the name of butterfly (Aricia agestis) and not polyommatus icarus as I thought at first site.

Hello Nikos.
A stunning photo with really good colors and use of light. The wings are beautiful and so are the details on the body of the butterfly.
Best regards Siggi

Hi, Nikos
A nice, sharp, backlit image of a female .. Aricia agestis. The combination of the lack of the inner "cell" spot on the underside of the forewing and the distribution of the white-circled black spots of the hindwing are diagnostic of this species or the very similar A. artaxerxes.
Regards, Nigel.

Hi Nikos,

Great macro capture of the butterfly, with wonderful clarity and from a great POV.
The colors are perfectly shown and especially, I like the textures on the wings of the butterfly. The sunlight passing through the wings, looks superb.
The blurry BG is wonderful. Great work, my friend!

best regards,
Paras

Hello Nikos,
The absence of spot nearest the body on th forewing makes this not P. icarus but a Aricia agestis.
An excellent macro taken against the light showing details of the underside of the wings with excellent sharpness and colours in a fine composition on the closed thistle flower.
Thanks and best regards,
Ivan

Hello Nikos,
A nice picture of the little Aricia agrestis shown with an good vertical composition and excellent sharpness on the wings of the butterfly. The background however is a little bit agitated, but we not always can chose it.
Kind regards
Anne
