[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The ophrys regis-ferdinandii is closely related to the O. Speculum I posted a little while ago. This one is weird to see in real, never seen a flower so strange. Of the many pictures I took (they are quite easily to find once you recognise them, on Chios) this is the only one i find acceptable, very hard to shoot.

Very interesting Orchid, congratulations!

Hi Jeroen,

When I first saw this I thought there was a insect in the mouth of the orchid. A fine shot with good focus and dof, good natural colours. A nice oof background.

Hi Jeroen,
it's true, it is hard to do a good shot of Ophrys. This one is excellent. You recognize the whole apparatus for the pollination. I guess its also some kind of nonsocial bee male that is pollinating this wild looking orchid. Well done!

Hi Jeroen. As you say in your notes what a strange looking flower. Nature has done this for a reason. taken with fine detai land sharp focusing against the OOF BG. all with natural colours. Well done TFs.
