[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This picture is taken on Nea Kameni, one of the little islands in the Thera (Santorini) gulf. It is "new born" and very volcanic. The sand is hot and smells sulphur and if you lift a little stone, there comes smoke. The only plants growing here are light yellow and very small and tiny. The land you can see in the background is Thera, the famous volcanic island, that was partly disappeared in a volcanic eruption many years ago.
