The Red Admiral (Vanessa atalanta)-thanks antonio_costa- is a well-known colourful butterfly, found in temperate Europe, Asia and North America. The species is resident only in warmer areas, but migrates in spring, and sometimes again in autumn.
This large butterfly is identified by its striking dark brown, red and black wing pattern. The caterpillars feed on nettles, the adults drink from flowering plants like the Buddleia and overripe fruit.

Very nice close up of that butterfly. Sharpess is pretty good. The flower below looks a bit sharper though. Not sure if that is just an illusion.

Hi Christos,
Beautiful colors with great sharpness and DOF.
Perhaps a bit too tight on the composition?
Well done and TFS!
