[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In my afternoon walk to the North side of my village I saw something shining in the middle of the path. I thought it was a glass or something like that.
With a closer look I saw this strange blue trying to hide under the leaves but the colour makes it invisible everywhere.
Any help for the ID will be helpful.

Hallo Thodoris, this is a beetle of the family Meloidae which contain poisonous substances such as Cantharidin. This species is probably Meloe violaceus. A little bit more focus on the beetle would have been nice.

Hello Theodoris,
You have captures a very interesting creature. It is quite nice looking beetle, especially becuase of the colours and size. I just think you could done much better on POV and framing. Maybe if you could lie on the ground and take picture from low angle it would be a little more interesting.
Overall, it was a good try.

belle prise là aussi de cet insecte rare, que l'on ne voit pas partout. cette couleur bleue brillant est super
mais peut-être une prise de risque si cet insecte pique.
