You can see from this shot why in Bulgarian this bird (Squacco heron - Ardeola ralloides) is called "mane heron" - it really has got a mane, hasn't it? :)

Great capture of this wonderful heron just before landing.
Composition, exposure and sharpness are perfect.
Beautiful featther details, especially the manes on the head, and light.
