Acherontia atropos (many thanks to haraprasan for information.) According to the Greek Mythology, Acheron is the river bringing dead to Hades, their kingdom.
Someone found it dead and gave it to me.

I like to see the Death's Head Hawk-moth on TN, even if this specimen happens to be dead.
Even so, you caught it sharply with good colouring.
