This small beauty is Eupithecia gratiosata Herrich-Schaffer, 1861 (Tribus:Eupitheciini, Subfamily: Larentiinae, Family:Geometridae, Ordo: Lepidoptera). Being a West-Palaearctic species it is distributed in Southern Europe prefering middle range and low altitude dry mountainous slopes and steppic habitats. It is oligofagous on the flowers and seeds of Anthenum and Pastinaca in Greece, its singel brood flies in May-June.
