Latin: Clerus mutillarius.
The chestnut-red on the front of the elytra contrast s strongly with the black head-thorax and rear of the elytra. The two pale stripes on the elytra vary in size and share. Look for the black legs. The beetle breeds under loose bark, mainly on conifer trees, where both adults and larvae feed on the grubs of other beetles, especially bark beetles.
Size: 9-13mm
Habitat: Woodlands, especially coniferous woodlands.
Range: S & C Europe
Season: Match-July.
Similar species: Thanasimus formicarius is smaller with red thorax. T. rufipes has completely red legs.

Wonderful picture. Almost perfect shot -just a slight regret that the tip of the leg is out of frame, but that's a tiny detail.
