A young Eastern Montpelier snake (Malpolon insignitus). It lives in Trentino and Lampedusa island (Italy) and Balkan peninsula. It is the biggest snake in Europe, reaching 2,5m. in length, and mostly feeds on mice.

you are an excellent snake photographer. Here you caught a very natural situation, the composition is good.. We don't see Malpolon often on TN. Well done, thanks for presenting.
