[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Erithacus rubecula (Linnaeus, 1758) - Kızılgerdan, Narbülbülü, Mustafacık, Göğsükızıl, Göğsükınalı [TR], European Robin, Robin [EN] is one of the most popular bird species on TN. I also posted previously two shots of this species from İzmir (Turkiye) and Athens (Greece) (see click the links).
Today's post is also from Greece.
After Embassy, I had more than 12 hours free time in Athens (Atina). I'd like to visit famous ancient Acropolis ruins [acro "top, hill" and polis means "city"].
My attention on several passerine birds among olive and other trees plantation in first steps of the hill where Acropolis located on. Some of these birds were Parus major (Greater Tit), Turdus merula and other Turdus (Thrush), (Blackbird) and Pica pica (Magpie). Several hours, I tried to take some photographs and went on to Acropolis. But it was late and I could not visit it, I only saw temples and as like many people, I saw Athens when it was sunset.
I will visit Acropolis again, in next May. Maybe this time, I will supply better shots.
Finally, I formed a Theme for the Robin for robin fanatics.

:) selam Hoca! Yine kayboldun ve geldin. Bu Narbülbülü'nün Yunanlısı da mı varmış:) Şaka bir yana nefis görüntü. Sanırım Zoo'dan arka fonda mekan içini andıran artefaktlar var gibim. Hayvanın bakışı ayrı bir tatlı... Eline sağlık. Sağlıcakla...

Hakikaten TN'de bunlardan çok var Ahmed'im, ama insan da bunlara bakmaya doyamıyor. Hoş geriplanı ile bu Narbülbülü de (Muhtar hocanın tercihettiği isim) nefis bir profil duruş sergilemiş, bize de ilettiğin için teşekkürler...

Merhaba Ahmet,
Very nice capture of a somewhat ruffled Robin in a fine pose against a neutral BG. nice and sharp too. You manage to post very fine images, despite you being so busy writing books. It would be nice to see them after publishing.
BTW before I retired I had my own translating firm translating Swedish into English. If you need any help in English let me know: though I notice that Mehmet has perfect English.

I am a robin fan too!
This one looks a little ruffled by the wind but that in no way spoils the clarity and the detail of your shot! I like the way he is clutching with his feet and it all shows up so well against the plain b/g!

Everyone love a Robin! This is special because for once it does not have every feather in place. I love the dissheveled look. A wonderful pose, beautiful colors, and sharp details.

Back to delivering excellent bird shot. I like this one in colorful throat. The image is very sharp and I can see the glaze in the eye. Nice perch against the clear background. Another top quality image and very well done.
