Vertical clouds (Family D)

These clouds can have strong upcurrents, rise far above their bases and can form at many heights.
Cumulonimbus is a type of cloud that is tall, dense, and involved in thunderstorms and other bad weather. The clouds can form alone, in clusters, or along a cold front in a squall line. |

Now that's a strange cloud. I've seen a lot of neat clouds but never one quite like this. Nice exposure and composition. TFS.

Interesting cloud and good note on it. Good composition and good detail and light except in the bottom part. Well done!

This verb of this cloud formation is called as "towering". In North America it usually means a impeding thunderstorm also. I try to take pictures of these but I have a difficult time saving my camera battery for the following thunderstorms. This is a very nice shot. Thanks for posting it.
