Hi Shir, I also have one in my gallery and completely understand that there is not a lot of time for planning your shot. They move incredibly fast so you do just have to snap what you can.
How big is your wolf spider? Ours are around 8mm (well in my garden anyway).
A great shot, good dof and pov.
