Hallo Matt, in the last days many nice pictures of Lycaenidae were posted - you added another with good sharpness showing clearly the details of the wing markings although the sun 'throws' the light from the opposite side.

Hi Matt,
excellent capture of the male L. thersamon, with amazing details and delightfully transparent colours in the backlight. The slightly opened wings are a very good pose to give a very clear image of the underside plus a good idea of what the butterfly looks like on the upperside. No doubt on the ID.
The strongly uncentered composition with a lot of free space of nicely blurred background in front of the butterfly is a measterpiece, and together with the diagonal leaf from the side it adds to the very lively and dynamic impression of that image.
