Hello,

My 1st fungi-photo of this year. I hope I'm not far from the truth when guessing this specie is Sarcoscypha coccinea, an early little red treasure growing on dead branches.

Edibility: rather worthless.

I photographed this group in the Bükk mountains, in a valley named "Sebes-víz-völgy" (="Fastwater Valley"), not too far from a ranch named Garadna.

A beautiful composition. Sharp like a razorblade. Natural colors. POV, DOF and BG are good.
I have no idea about the ID of this group fungis, but when I see the fungus on the link Mushroom Observer, I think you have the correct ID. Have a nice weekend and TFS BOB

In this stage, it looks almost as a peziza, except for the colour :)

Thanks for your recent comments. Its true that I like birds, but I'm fascinated with fungi too.
This is an interesting shot of these little mis-shapen cups. Well composed and good DOF. Good sharpness.

The "+++" : composition, great subject, POV, sharpness, DOF, useful complementary note...
The "-" : perhaps a little bright background on top-left...

I missed this one when you put it on.
Its an impressive looking fungi,and a hard one to photograph I bet.
Those reds never really get the autofocus going properly.
Nice shot though.
