"Non Voglio Morire (I Don't Want To Die)"

Dear Friends,

I was away from the site in the last few weeks, but I wanted to return with full energy, new photos etc. - while I return now with my deep sadness and depression. Probably some of You know I began learning mycology on the university, beside my day job, on every 2nd Friday. I'm waiting for those days like a child used to wait his / her birthday - fungi are my life, beside my family and photographing. When I'm on the university I can forget all the average weekdays and other problems.

Today I missed the course. Due to serious communication problems I delayed the start time of my friend's car (the university is in another city, not in Miskolc) - while the workers of the local railway company chose exactly this day to strike. I fell in depression. "The Artist" had to be "Away From The Flock", and when realizing this fact, it was really "The Fracture", and a "Walk Through Fire". "Where Shall I Go From Here?".

Just returned home, very sadly, and there was a pocket in my mailbox. The brand-new, officially still not released 3rd album of the Italian death metal band Resurrecturis. In the note of this photo You already read I'm in very good friendship with the Italian musician Carlo Strappa (guitarist / mastermind of the band), and he was kind enough to send me a copy of their brand-new CD "Non Voglio Morire" (even before the official releasedate). While listening to the brilliant heavy music and feeling the true friendship between Carlo and me, my depression became less deeper. So, Signor Carlo Strappa, thank You very much for giving me wonderful moments on this horrible day of mine. All the citated words above are songtitles from the album.

I think I cannot choose more symbolical photo to show my current feelings than this one. A dark cave, but You already see some light... It was photographed last autumn, in "Vidróczky Cave" - Márton Vidróczky was a "local Robin Hood" in the early 19th century, and as the fairytale tells, he lived in this cave for a few months...

No PP at all except for increasing contrast a bit (+ framing, signing, re-sizing). Thanks for reading all these and for looking at the pic.

Hi Laszlo,
I'm sorry to read that you have been in a deep depression. I can identify with you since I am on an invalids benefit for depression myself.
I was involved for many years with punks and took lots of drugs like speed that affected my mind and body more than I realised they would at the time.
I didn't know you were into death metal.
Its very interesting music.I have a bit on my jukebox too.
This is a cool photo of a cave too.
Makes me want to go exploring again.
Hope you feel better soon
(I find smoking pot helps ;)

i think you have to go to nature to refuse to this depressive mood Mood MF! when i get some problems in such way, i always make this. Althought your shot a dark cave, you photographed it very nicely and as you mentioned there is a light:) like our temporary problems.

What a lovely palaca nad capture.Well seen and composed.I liked lighting,sharpness and visual impaxt a lot.I think nature and photography is the best medicine for depression.

I'm sad to learn about all hardships you suffered this Friday, but I have to admit I found the story a bit fun too hehehe!
And the cave photo is marvellous, and you make well use of the existing but low light...

Hello My Friend!

I know what you felt. But there is the light side also - you live in beautifull place surrounded by many forrests full of fungi! Imagine living in big, concrete city without any sign of trees in kilometers around - many people in this world live in such conditions. So - best remedium for depression is to visit one of your forrests and start to learn in practice :-)

I searched youtube for Resurrecturis and found few songs. Very heavy tunes, but I like it! This reminded me my early days on University when I travelled in my city by tram with walkman loaded with Slayer, Kreator, Testament and of course old Metallica :-) This music was perfect before exams - it was giving me lot of energy :-)
