A superb capture of the moon.
The 500mm really does a good job.
Good detail and sharpness,the detail shows well.

Thank you for your visit, your sympathetic comment and your invitation to Hungary! Who knows...

Now, concerning your picture, I like it for its simplicity and complemantarity to the former posting with the sun. I have never tried to take a picture of the moon in that way. It has been part of some subjects, but never alone. Maybe I should try. But to be honest, I prefer the moon taken together with another subject like a mountain chain, a forest or in a cloudy sky. Here, in your picture, it looks so naked and cold. I know, this is the reality, and you have made it in a fine manner, but it's so scientific... For me, the moon represents more mystic aspects... Probably I'm too romantic!

I have a hard time at getting moon shots, I try to do the best I can, but camera does not have enough zoom, but I can get some ok ones, this one has some very nice clarity to it, the moon is very beautiful! Thanks for sharing! Cheers Josh Lewis.

What a terrific close-up on this big full moon!
The details you managed to get are impressive, even more since this is a full-frame shot and no crop...i'm sure the original is awesome and would make a great print!
Very impressive focal length here as well! 1000mm is not something you see everyday, and even if the gear must have weighted a tone :) you managed to use it spot-on.

Astro-fotózásban is ott vagy a szeren... Ez is gyönyörű. Talán a középre szerkesztett kompozíció itt nem lett volna hiba, de így is osztályon felüli termék. :) Szépek a részletek és az űr selymes feketesége. Grat megint (mint általában).
