Full Moon

Back for a fast visit...

After the Sun I thought to post the Moon :)

Everyone has to have his/her own moon shot once I guess...

This is the whole frame shot at 1000mm (Pentacon 500/5.6 + Nikon 2xTC).

Some contrast added and some level corrections to bring out more details.

I promise I'll try to reply critiques as soon as I'm available! I miss your shots very much...

Thanks for looking - Best regards,
Andor

Hi Andor. The avatar in the intro explains the shot. Big 500mmFL captured this moon in excellent sharpness and clarity. Awesome D40 image just like the one in astronomy book. Well done and my favorite, Jusni

Hi Andor!

Thank you for your visit, your sympathetic comment and your invitation to Hungary! Who knows...

Now, concerning your picture, I like it for its simplicity and complemantarity to the former posting with the sun. I have never tried to take a picture of the moon in that way. It has been part of some subjects, but never alone. Maybe I should try. But to be honest, I prefer the moon taken together with another subject like a mountain chain, a forest or in a cloudy sky. Here, in your picture, it looks so naked and cold. I know, this is the reality, and you have made it in a fine manner, but it's so scientific... For me, the moon represents more mystic aspects... Probably I'm too romantic!

Kind regards

Markus

Wonderful moon shot! :-D
I have a hard time at getting moon shots, I try to do the best I can, but camera does not have enough zoom, but I can get some ok ones, this one has some very nice clarity to it, the moon is very beautiful! Thanks for sharing! Cheers Josh Lewis.
