Gate Peak

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Hello! No mushroom today, but panoramic landscape... We're again in the Bükk mountains, this time on a rock / hill named "Gate Peak". It's on the Northern end of the Bükk Plateau (also known as Central Bükk), the sightseeing direction is North-West / West.
About Bükk: the mountains aren't so very lofty, the highest peak is 959 meters above the sea level, at this moment we're now on 722. The "Plateau" is a 140 square kilometres, practically uninhabited area (except a very few ranches), part of the Bükk National Park. It isn't totally plain, its height varies from 650 to 950 meters, but nevertheless it's called "plateau". There are 2 parts of it: "Big" and "Small" plateau, and there's the deep valley of Garadna creek between them. Gate Peak is on the "Small Plateau". The closest inhabited place is the few-house ranch "Szentlélek".
Oh, one more thing: what You read, "Kapu-bérc" of course means "Gate Peak" in Hungarian... You can see the large version without thick frame. |

Hi Laszlo
Nice panoramic landscape of these mountains. I just find that the frame is way to big and distract to much from the picture. A simple thin framing would have been sufficient.
PC :)
Hello Laszlo,
It is a beautiful landscape, and the format is a wise choice!
Good colours and interesting details in this slowly rolling scenery...
Personally I don't approve of the frame as it steals too much attention!
Greetings,
Pablo -
Bonito formato para esta presentación, que para los que vivimos en zonas de sequía es un estímulo mierntras esperamos la temporada de los hongos :-))
Abrazo Laszlo.
