[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi! When I uploaded THIS photo, I thought it's Leccinum aurantiacum. Marco informed me I was wrong, it's L. versipelle. But now, I truly hope I've managed to photograph L. aurantiacum, because, as Marco said once, "it should have white decoration on stem, not black scales contrasting with the surface of the stipe". Or am I wrong again?

PP:absolutely nothing except framing and re-sizing.

Hi Laszlo,
This looks like a massive mushroom!
Good POV, color, and lighting.
The leaf in FG helps give it scale.
The focus looks soft to me so I did a workshop
to sharpen it to good benifit.

Hi Lazlo

A nice composition with very good DOF and colours.

Hello Laszlo,
Excellent textures in the mushroom!
Colour and details are well reproduced, the tight framing works well to show the subject!
Greetings,

Hi Laszlo,

in this case, it can really be Leccinum aurantiacum because it has too orange colour to be Leccinum quercinum and too white stipe to be Leccinum versipelle.

About yout answer to Jan, attention to the habitat. L. quercinum grows under all kind of broad-leaved: Castanes sp., Quercus sp., Betula sp. ecc..., and also Populus sp., often with L. aurantiacum, at the same time.
Moreover, in scientific and strict mycology you can't use habitat as distinctive caracteristic
