I don't care about you

A non common shot from the back, if you don't like it please compare to the ws, and tell me if it's always better to post something seen a thousand times.

Thanks,
Andor

Érdekes fotó, széncinkét ábrázol. A megszokott az lenne, ha szembe nézhetnénk a madárral...

Hi Andor!

This is a surprising picture, and why not showing a bird that turns its head? This is ok to me, but the picture, from my point of view, is not well composed. On one hand, the branch in front of the bird cuts the bird into two pieces. On the other hand, the center of the bird is on the left and the right part of the picture, where the human eye naturally finds the most interest (rules of the third), is almost empty.

Kind regards

Markus

I prefer that branch does not become the one at the front side..

success..

Andor,
What an apt title!!It creates the mood for the pic!!Nicely captured, good POV!And to tell you the truth, I like it the way you've posted it, make no change!
Thanks a lot!
Goldy

bonjour angor
j'ai plusieurs chos a reprocher a votre photo:
l'oiseau nous tourne le dos.
le cadrage est trop serré a gauche.
la branche passe devant l'oiseau.
mais en guise d'encouragement j'accorde le grand smile.

Hi Andor,

A brave posting, and I think that's its a good use of TN to stimulate discussions around issues such as composition. I think I agree with Markus that there's nothing wrong with us not seeing the birds face, although photographically I think you need to think about what you want to convey as a photogrpaher. Clearly this would not work as natural history ID shot. It isn't about a particular charateristic of the bird's plumage that would be best emphasised by seeing the back of its head. So it must be about the bird and its environment, i.e. the bird is looking at something and the picture tells us about the bird's relationship with the thing it's looking at. But we can't see this either. So for me it doesn't quite work, although a nicely taken picture in terms of the detail, light, coloursand pov and you should certainly keep testing the rules of photography. But it's a great posting as your purpose was to stimulate discussion, which is exactly what you have done:-) These are my views of course, and I'm sure others will disagree.

Mike
