[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hello,

I wasn't quite sure about uploading this photo or not, because, as You can see, there are human-made structures in the background. But the fungi themselves are not cultivated plants, so I give it a try, with the hope the link will not be deactivated and the image deleted.

I found this group of fungi during my daily work. You can read the story in the note of this photo on TrekLens. Thanks to Marco ("Sarcodon") I already know this is Pholiota populnea (=Pholiota destruens), old specimens. Growing from September to November, on poplar trunk. Common in Hungary in a few places. Inedible. You can see younger specimens on the homepage of our fungi club.

Tech: noise reduction, color correction, midtones, sharpening, gaussian blur on the bg, framing, signing, re-sizing.

Hello Laszlo,
Never mind the buildings ... in this case its a very good documentation of the kind of environments that these fungi can settle.
This is an interesting specimen.
I like the patterned stem.

I didn't know that Laszlo in hungarian is Wladyslaw in polish:)
about the photo: Pholiota populnea, in Polish Luskwiak topolowy, I always saw this mushroom in very light colours, this one is quite dark, I think maybe because it's old (?), anyway, very good details and composition with this building in background, as Steve said- this is good example of natural habitat for this species. Good natural light and colours.

It is a very nice capture of this old pair, and the building & hill on the back gives a wonderful idea of the environment, not disturbing at all. You don't realize how difficult is to make a composition like this, while you don't try "on the floor" photography :D

I am happy that this fantastic picture was not deleted. These mushrooms make a good couple and the composition with the house and all is perfect. Magnificent job.

Hello Lazlo. The fungi is natural and good clear image captured here. Nice detail on top of the cap. I have a few shots but not sure of the sp. Thanks for sharing and best regards. Jusni
