Hello,

On my trip yesterday I met a lot of fungi, photographed at least 15 species. Due to the weather was quite wet in the past two weeks, a lot of fungi are popping around now in the Hungarian mountains. Inocybe erubescens (=Inocybe patouillardii) is a heavily toxic mushroom, rare here in the Bükk mountains, because it's only growing on acid substrate, and these mountains are built mostly from limestone (calcium carbonate). I captured it closed to the ranch of Hollóstető ("Crow Plateau") - except for the frame there isn't any PP at all, I should say, the image's fresh from camera.

When young, this toxic specie may be confused with the delicious Calocybe gambosa - older specimens, which You can see in the background, turn into brick-red. Be careful when finding an Inocybe - all species of the genus are toxic, some, like this one, are heavily, even deadly. But if You only photograph and not eat them, there's no problem at all.

Hello Laszlo,
You must spend a lot of time lying down on the mosses to get all your brilliant captures of fungi! Here we don't see a singly fungus this time of the year! This is a very fine shot of the this group of deadly fungi, all very sharply in focus. Very nice colours and a fine background too.
TFS and regards, Ulla

Hi Laszlo

Cool looking forest, the perfect backdrop for these pale mushrooms.
Excellent composition this time. Great DOf and good sharpness on the subjects.

Chris

Hello Lazslo,
You had the best pov and dof to have these beautiful fungi well captured with wood at the bg!
you had shown us the natural environment they attached to!
great exposure and focus achieved with good sharpness and detils
well done
cheers
Tony

Hi Laszlo,
A great POV and background again.
Perfect exposure and sharpness.
I wonder if we have these here.
Although we have limestone nearby, the soils are quite acid, due to intensive coal mining in the area, and a lot of coal spread around.
(I know people here with their own little coal mines in the back garden).
I will remember not to eat them if I find them though.
Great post as usual.
Cheers
Steve

Superb!! Really a gorgeous capture and magnificent shot!! How beautiful the composition with such excellent POV, DOF, light and colors, and those cute even if dangerous mushrooms.
It's one of my favourites!
Thank you very much, my friend!

Hello Laszlo,

The mushroom group is well recorded!
I notice the low point of view that also allow me to see the habitat to some extent...
Well done on the close-up work, fine details!

Greetings,
Pablo -
