| I photographed this moment accidental. Not quality the best. The story began in a holiday. I went out to buy fresh air from the pub. I saw the moon on afternoon sky, I believed it I photograph it. I did 2 pictures, and I hear above my head big bird scream. I believed it doves they came to blows. Feathers fell onto my head. The two birds fell down. I shock it. I saw it above falcon, below dove. Little were time. I snatched it from the moon my machine, and switches over quickly. 2 pictures succeeded from the drama. I drove a falcon away. A dove lives. I took a photo in my garden. |

Hi Susy,i'm happy to see you on TN too!! This is a great scoop, excellent moment to take and top quality of details and colors,my best compliments, have a nice day,Luciano
Brilliant predatory scene.
This is a hawk and not a falcon.
I might have cropped right and below afterwards to improve the composition. The birds are too centered on the pic.
Did you chase the hawk away on purpose? Just as Vinny, I wouldn't.
I've seen those scenes only from a long distance so far. Very lucky shot.

A good picture and a dramatic story - but I think you were very wrong to drive the falcon from its food. It is a hunter, it has to eat meat. It has no option to eat leaves or seeds instead of flesh. Without its food the falcon could starve to death. I would think the falcon has injured the dove and it will probably die anyway.
Kind regards
Vinny
