[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In The Virgin Forest pt. VI. - The Corpse Eater

Dear Friends, I continue the series with the 6th part, the last fungi image from the Virgin Forest. Now starring The Corpse Eater - Cerrena unicolor, which is common there on the many dead beech logs. Easily recognizable due to its daedaloid pores - this is what You can see on the pic, from below the fungi. Color of fruitbodies are gray (see workshop 1), but often covered by algae (workshop 2).

This is also my last upload before leaving the site again: between 16th and 25th of July I'll be on holiday with my family near Lake Balaton. Tomorrow I'll be on trip in the mountains to find Boletus reticulatus and Cantharellus cibarius, but I try to get some time in Tuesday and Wednesday to comment Your images. If I don't manage to - I surely will after we arrive home.

Curios corner for a picture, imagine that you want to show the lower structure of this fungus. Anyway, as always, you captured the photo with a lot of technique, while maintaining an excellent balance and contrast between the background, the fungus and wood.

Is interesting to see how varied the fungus when it covers this type of alga. Thanks for posting the additional photos. I always learn something new. That's why we can say that your photography blends well with a didactic impulse.

I hope you had a good holiday by Lake Balaton!
This is a fine capture of a species of Bracket Fungus new to me taken with fine lighting, sharpness and colours to show the pores and the light algal growth on its surface.
This shot is also well composed to include a little of the forest in the BG.
