Turdus ilicaus - E: Redwing – D: Rotdrossel
Never seen this bird until last year in my vacation on Iceland. It was a “walk-by” oportunity, couldn´t recognize and thought maybe find it later in my library. It was messing around in the brushes which grow below the “Perlan” water reservoir in Reykjavik towards the airfield.
At home again, i found out it was – most probable, please correct me if not – a redwing. Which dwells in Scandinavia, Scotland, partly in Denmark and --- Iceland ( from Peterson/Mountfort/Hollom ) |

Hello Werner! Composition, POV and pose are very good. The focus on the bird is a little soft, I think you focussed on the needles in the FG. It's a lovely bird though. TFS!
Very nice picture Werner-
Yes this is a Redwing (rödvinge trast in swedish).
Little soft but good composition, colours and pose.
Well done.

Hi Werner and welcome to TN from me. Nice shot of this bird. The composition and pose are nice although it's a little soft in focus. Overall a very nice shot, well done.
Hi Werner.Nice capture of this bird.It is quite similar to a thrush with its speckled breast.
It looks like your camera locked in on the pine needles in front of it,but you still got the head in focus luckily.
Nice composition. Thanks for posting.
