[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Le petit pingouin est une espèce en danger en France. La population restante située en Bretagne compte environ 25 couples (elle était de 500 couples dans les années 60).
Avec un très fort déclin, le Pingouin torda est l'oiseau marin le plus menacé de France.
La régression est due essentiellement aux captures accidentelles dans les filets maillants (les oiseaux meurent noyés) et aux pollutions aux hydrocarbures (dégazages et marées noires).
Simplement un tout petit espoir : l'effectif européen avoisine les 500 000 couples.
