| The Arctic tern is the only northern breeding bird species that migrates regularly as far as Antarctic waters. They are seen mainly around pack-ice, have white foreheads and a long tail. They are white birds with blood-red bills and red legs. The bird pictured here was dive-bombing on me to protect its nest! |
