Ireland’s first National Park lies to the south and west of Killarney town at the foot of Ireland's highest mountain range, MacGillycuddy's Reeks. The park today covers an area of 10,000 hectares (0ver 26,000 acres).

Killarney National Park contains the most extensive areas of natural woodland remaining in Ireland. The mountains are composed of acidic Old Red Sandstone which support native oakwoods, mainly Sessile Oak.

I love this! The filter you used makes this an excellent picture. The subject (the dead tree) is very well chosen, but a little bit too centered to my liking. Well done & TFS!

Regards,
Pieter

Man! Here you go again with that lens! I'm not sure how you get the light effects that you do. Is it primarily the polarizer or is it something in pp?...or both?...or is it your magic? This is a beautiful photograph. A+ : )

Thanks for sharing

Beautiful shot, great composition with the off-centre tree. The dead tree makes it a dramatic shot and the sky is perfect, with the deep blue in the top left drifting to pale sky on the right.

Hi Stephen

I love the shape of this naked tree. If these branches could speak, I am sure they could tell us some amazing stories. Nicely composed with everything else simply perfect. :-)

Wonderful composition with a nice light. The dead tree gives something "special".
Bravo my friend and TFS

Beautifull, your landscapes have always fascinated me and still do Stephen. Amazing depth you get in them. i still battle to get that depth. Mine has a 2D look. Very well done.
