This is a large post so if you simply click the image it should open to full panoramic size..

I hope the girl in the first pic is not a problem for you as this give a measure of scale, its Joanna my wife BTW mosly always there and often carrying some of my stuff. I could or should have sharpened large post but I forgot. Anyhow hope It opens the window on Tory for you. People both here and TE seem to like the geology of the Anvil so here is a little more for my friends on TN.

The huge rock fin of "The Anvil" juts into the sea from Tory Island.

Tory Island, nine miles north of the coast of Donegal, is by common consent "the most isolated, the most desolate, the most windswept of any of the Irish islands". It is an island drenched by the sea, drenched by the elements, and drenched with history and folklore.

What a great collage Stephen.
So this is Donegal.
(I've got an Ian Dury song about it)
Is this a limestone area by any chance?
The rock formations look very much like ours at Dolomite Point here at Punakaiki.
There is a place like this about 5 minutes walk from my house here.
Great scenery and great photos of it.
Excellent.

Each time I open your lanscapes, it seems I am wathcing the "Travel" chanel in TV :D
Four beautiful shots that complement each other very well to show us this beautiful place. The wide angle is great for this kind of photos.
Well done and thanks for the Large Format, I have spent all mine.

Hi Stephen, you show us super sharp photos of super sharp cliffs. So the littles puffins(thats how these birds are called?) live there near those cliffs. The one with the flowers is almost to beautiful to be real, and it look so deep.

Wonderful postcard Stephen. It does a good job of demonstrating the variety of coastline. You could probably sell it to the tourist board!

I like it as it is, but I had a thought. What if you matched the horizon through all the shots (obviously the puffins would have to go, but heck, they're probably already endangered, aren't they? ;-)? It might work or it might be disconcerting as hell (I can't tell in advance). But the thematic connection is already there (the rocks and sea). It might open all kinds of matching headaches, though.

Hi Steve,
What an excellent series in the LP version..
I see you snuck in the wife..and tastefully so..she looks cold. Or is that pissed because she grows impatient for U to get the shot ;)
I like 'em all of course. The last frame works well with the flowers FG IMHO.
Very well done!

Hi Stephen,
Really a beautiful collage! The photographs, beautiful by itself, are complemented by forming a harmonious composition.
