Coast of Donegal Ireland at Slieve League

I made my way down to view this Tower which you can see from my post on TE today. The jagged coast of County Donegal is a place of rugged beauty. Mountains, green valleys, rocky islands, and bogs abound, and it is Donegal's spectacular cliffs, such as the 600 m drop at Slieve League, which are most well known.

Hi!
I really like this image. It looks like great fun to trek there! I`m impressed by the well controlled lighting, both on the rocks and grass, but also getting a good contrast on the breaking waves. I also like the cropping, which gives you a glance of the sky, but not too much of it. Nice composition and sharpness all over the landscape.

Otro bello paisaje de los que ya nos tienes acostumbrados Stephen.
Agradable POV que permite ver la caída de ese sitio tan especial.
Suaves tonos y bellos contraste para completar una interesante entrega.

Another beautiful landscape of those that you already have us accustomed Stephen.
Pleasant POV that allows to see the fall of that place so special.
Soft tones and pretty contrast to complete an interesting post.

Great details and composition. Very beautiful scene that I just want to walk into (maybe it's the feeling of "fresh" weather). I am looking at the lighting. I think about this a lot when shooting in partly cloudy skies, and tend to wait 'till the central focus falls into the light compared to the non-focal area. What I find interesting here is that you've reversed that. So my eyes spend a lot of time wandering around -- foreground rocks, darker penninsula, and then off into the ocean and back. It's so interestingly different than having lighted the penninsula. I've been noticing several shots without a central focal point these days and find them intriguing. Thanks for another, Steve.

Hello Steven!
Fantastic sea/landscape as always. I like contrasts on this picture between water and land, blue and green, shadow and light. Excellent postcard my friend!

Hi Stephen,
Short on time today. Just time to see that this is a great shot.
Thanks for posting, enjoy the rest of the week.

This is a nice photo, but as Mike says, it seems to lack a point of focus, and the landridge seems a touch soft on the focus/sharpening to me...
That said, it as good points as well - the control of light is excellent and those greens are great.

Hi Stephen,
Its not really a smart idea of mine to critique right now. I am at work and my monitor is not suited for photos. But, I can still see the beauty of the scenery and the lovely green colors. The light has caused for some difficulties in the exposure, it looks like there are a few OE spots on the rock in the f/g (maybe this is the monitor) Great idea of putting the horizon up this high, it gives a sence of hight of the cliff.
TFS,
Niek

This is another nice image Stephen. Did you crop this image. I am sure that if I took this with my 10-20mm lens and had the horizon line that high, I would get some barrel distortion. This image doesn't look quite as sharp as usual, maybe due to crop or my poor vision on some days!
