columba palumbus (woodpigeon)

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
The wood pigeon is a common species in Ireland. It lives in parks and woods and feeds on various berries and seeds.
The bird in the picture is wild. I took the shot on a cold but sunny day and it was soaking up the sun. I think that is why it allowed me to get this close. |

Hi Catalin,
Your pigeon sitting there resting on his branch so at ease and at peace caught my atttention and made me stop by. I think you've produced a very good picture and I like it but could not resist to try ameliorating it a bit through the possibilities of some PhotoShop enhancement. Hope you don't mind...that's part of the TN games. Thanks a lot for sharing the shot and providing it with an ID,
Goran
