"To the Sea, to the Sea! The white gulls are crying,
The wind is blowing, and the white foam is flying."
-Legolas' Song of the Sea (The Lord of the Rings, J.R.R. Tolkien)
Gulls are intelligent and resourceful birds with highly complex method of communication. They usually have some black markings on their wings and heads. This picture was captured somewhere along the River Lee, Cork's primary river. |
