| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I encountered this adult Grey Heron one morning on the estuary outside Cork. It was stalking the shallows for fish that the tide pushed up the river. Probably small Mullet or Bass.
Camera settings:-
ISO 100, AV, Spot metering, Manual White balance, Auto exposure, 800mm focal length. |

Hi Peter , keep try to get a good shot but they keep flying away. you have done well and captured good detail and colours . with a nive POV. well done TFs.
Nick..
Excelente enfoque con bellos colores naturales. Muy real... preciosa. Saludos Peter.
Hello Peter,
Good sharpness and composition.
Concerning the latter I have the feeling I want to push the bird a bit higher in the image 'cause the long legs are heading southwards towards the edge of the frame...
A minor nit though if it is one in the firt place...
Nice quality overall.

I will never know the big difference in a blue and grey heron. They seem exact. The all grey image sets the mood here. TFS one of my most photographed birds.

Hi Peter, very good shot desipite the dark and dreary days we have been having. Your lens did a good job as the heron is clean and sharp showing good detail and colour depth. Nice pose, pov and dof. Very well composed.
