I caught this heron down by the pier just watching life pass by. There were 3-4 birds there, spread out. They were just resting as the sun was going down, probably settling in for the night.

Nice warm colours with a golden tinge. Good composition, and I really like the smooth flow of waterwaves in the BG. Just the right degree of blurr. The main subject is a bit soft though, suggest some sharpening, e.g. "un"sharpmask in PS should do the trick (whoever came up with that name for a sharpening tool should be beat with a stout stick ;-))
