Wandering amongst the sand dunes of the mile long Inch Strand on the Dingle Peninsular, SW Ireland, I came across a colony of these Orchids. I am informed they are Pyramid Orchids but I am hoping one of you will correct me if that is incorrect. A lovely plant standing around 10" tall and being protcted by the grasses surrounding them.

Hello Peter,
Good content. Well displayed.
You might have that tad of English empiricism; observation and categorize etc.;-) Hope you don't have hard feelings now...:-)

Hi Peter,
It is a wonderful species of the orchid. I am not sure what species it is but it looks like you are correct. It is a pity that you could get a bit close, because I think the beauty is in the flower. Details and colors are wonderful.

Hello Peter,
I really expect that it was not easy to find so small ochrid specias among grasses. And thank you for showing us this small beauty.
I like a lot the way you presente the plant - all important details are seen, and moreover, general view for the species is kept.
Once TFS and have a nice evening,
Radomir
