[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Shamrock (well known irish "trade mark") growing on a tree trunk. This particular tree was hanging above a small river, hence the 200mm focal lenght. The radiant green of the shamrock is in nice contrast to the wash out colours of the moss around it, which helps the shamrock to stand out much better.

I positioned the shamrock to the bottom left corner of the frame so it has a nice area to "grow into". Polarising fitler helped to cut glare, so to resulting image is very calm and peaceful study of natural world

Technical Details:
Camera: Nikon D200
Lens: Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 set at 200mm
Shutter Speed: 1/10 sec
Aperture: F11
ISO: 100
Other: tripod, spirit level, cable release, mirror lock up, circular polariser.

Hello Juraj,
I love the simplicity of this image. Your idea on the composition wiorks out well here, leaving enough natural space around the wood sorrel.
Compliments,
Jacob

Great capture and a "warm" composition Juraj, the contrasting colors in sharp focus are a feast for the eye. However, I couldn't understand how the polarising filter "helped to cut the glare", since the filter's optical axis is almost perpendicular to the glare-producing bark of the tree, i.e., would have no effect on the glare-producing reflections.
Yours,
Mehmet

Bonsoir Juraj
Voici encore une très jolie composition ! J'aime beaucoup.
Antoine.
